Las Salinas de Fuencalienteis located in the town of Fuencaliente, in the southernmost part of the island of La Palma, Canary Islands. It has an area of 7 hectares. The Law 12/1987 included within the Natural Park of Cumbre Vieja and Teneguía, although 1994 went on to obtain current category. It is within theNatural Monument Teneguía Volcanoes, the site of the last volcanic islands. The salt marshes are not typical of the western Canary, being one of its main representatives. It consists of a series of constructed saline to obtain salt. They inhabit several species waders. Like the rest of the island, is located within the Biosphere Reserve of La Palma.
